Wow, there is so much that I've added to my "to do" list for this weekend that if I sit and think about it too long it becomes very daunting. With that being said I am sooooooooo eager and excited to be begin working with a few of them.
Some are just those final twists, fluffs and embellishments so that proposal images can be completed. Others are more for the home...painting, living room window treatments and taking down the last of the holiday ornaments.
The studio really needs a good organizing/tossing/finding mission and that will be first on my agenda for Saturday morning.
I am also creating some jewelry and sending down South to a shop that I hope will want to carry it for me. Keep your fingers crossed and please send out some positive energy and send up prayers.
I have 4 items packaged up and ready to ship but I want them all to go out at once so will be finishing that too.
We are going to a hockey game on Saturday night with friends. I have never been to one but my boss is the coach so wanted to be sure I got to at least one this season. It should be fun though and I'm looking forward to the experience.
I will be soldering and wrapping and twisting and enjoying this weekend so much and to make it even better.....it is a holiday weekend! 3 Days!!!!!

Hi Everyone and Happy Thursday!!!!
Some of you may know that I have been doing some things for myself lately to "undo" things from my past. You know that hunk of luggage that we sometimes drag around for eons and curse at but put off taking care of? I'd like to say that mine is the size of a little overnight case but well it isn't unless your overnight case is the size of a steamtrunk. <smile>
With this new bit of self empowerment that I have going on I found, well stumbled upon really over on FB, an online magazine that is full of the most amazing stuff and info and warmness and boldness and it just wraps you up and makes you feel pretty darned good about yourself. Did I hear someone say tell me, tell me? It is Wild Sister and well I am one, was one before but didn't know it, my friends are one and you can be one too!!!!
Now fortunately they just released issue #3 so I don't have to read through a gazillion issues to make sure I didn't miss anything but it's so good that I would have read through that many and enjoyed every word! Whew....gotta take a breath on that one!!!

Good Morning Everyone,
I love gem tintypes, antique photo albums, cdvs, cabinet cards.....any vintage image really. What I found very recently is that I have an abundance of some of these so you will see more of them listed in my Etsy Shoppe, A Vintage Season.

These little gem tintypes are wonderful for your jewelry projects and for the larger collages where you need just a touch of "something" to bring the work to life. I just LOVE them!
Here is a bit of history of the Gem Tintype:
The form of tintype (also referred to as ferrotype or sometimes melainotype) known as a "gem" is a small photographic image usually anywhere from 3/4" to 1" wide and 1¼" high made possible by the use of a multi-lens camera with repeating back which therefore could produce multiple exposures on a single photographic plate. In terms of quantity, the gem was the most prolifically produced form of photograph in the 1860s in America. Aside from the speed of its production, the gem was also inexpensive and its small size made it suitable for mounting in jewelry such as lockets and brooches. Like daguerreotypes and ambrotypes before it, hand colouring was also possible and rouging of the subject's cheeks was the most common form of this.
