Hi Everyone!!!

Just in case you didn't already know, registration for Art & Soul Virginia Beach 2012 begins tomorrow and you know there will be a flurry of activity happening with people signing up for classes and what not.

Hump Day Already....

Hi Everyone,

Wow, I can't believe it is hump day already.  Time does fly doesn't it! 

It is a gray day here with clouds and winds but no rain...yet.  I love this time of year when the green is so fresh and welcoming and the flowers and trees are blooming and budding out.  The world is new again and it gives me the opportunity to see things in an entirely new light.  I love that!

So what should I focus on?  Well, I've been focusing on eating better and that's going well but would really love to dive into a reese's right about now.  I've also been focusing on the new studio and the Etsy shoppe.  So I believe my next step will be to focus on my creations and how I can stretch my wings a bit more.  Scary thoughts go with that but I want to trust myself as an artist and as an adventurer.  <smile>

Where Does The Time Go???

 

Hi Everyone,

Wow, where does the time go?  Real time...blog time....just plain ole time?  It's flying that's for sure but now it is time to take control of that fleeting ticking of minutes and hours and begin again.

I've missed blogging, missed talking about creating, missed visiting my blog friends and missed showing you what I've been up to and what new creations are on the horizon.  Truly missed it so today consider this the first of what will be my daily posts.....they won't all be long, they won't all be words, but daily you will see me here showing you my day, telling you my thoughts and just wanting to grow closer to this community of bloggers and artists.

So far this year I have taught classes at home, in Pennsylvania at Jean's, taken a class at Kecia's and taught and vended at Art & Soul in Vegas.  I have had new friends come into my life like Kim who feels like I've known her forever and Colleen that fits right in with us East Coasters even though she is a Cali Girl.

I've been nurtured and uplifted and given courage by Kecia, Sal, Ellen, Pam, Cindy, Colleen, Kim, Kerin....wow the list could just go on forever.  Thank you to each of you for believing in me even when I don't....I love all of you and am very grateful to have you in my life.

I've had to realize that not everyone is going to like how I handle things in a class, or how I price things or what I create.  But that doesn't make me less than.  I am an artist and I love creating and I love, love, love teaching. 

Is my name well known?  Well, in some circles but not in some of the big circles and that's okay because it will...one day.  I don't have a book out (yet), I don't have overflowing classes (yet) but I love what I do and I love when a student decides to take one of my classes.  It makes me happy and I work all the harder to make sure that they walk out of my classroom with every bit of information that I have time to share with them in our time together. 

I am getting ready to teach at Art & Soul in Hampton and that will kick off a steady 6 months of traveling for us.  I hope you will take the time to look at some of the retreats that I will be teaching at and look at the class offerings as well.  I would love to have you come and join us and see what we are all about.  <smile>

Home From A & S Vegas....

Hi Everyone!

We are home from Art & Soul Vegas (got home around 6:30 last night) and I am at the necessary job working my little fingers away. 

I have so much to tell you about the classes in Vegas and about some things that will be happening very soon at our NING site, in person and in our Etsy Shoppe.  Lot's of goodness coming your way......

I will be posting images and updates and information tomorrow when I'm doing better with the time changes so until then I hope you will enjoy this lovely Etsy Treasury that I put together this morning.

Sharing Another Piece of Good News....

Okay, so you've heard that I've joined the Design Team of Paper Imagery Designs, you've heard that I'm going to be a new mommy, you've heard that I'll be teaching at Paper Cowgirl 2011 and now here is another piece of totally awesome news.......

I've been asked to join the faculty of The Artful Gathering!!!

Good News Part Two....

So today brings the day that I can announce Part 2 of our Good News!!!!  Actually I think is is Part Three...Part One Being Named as a Design Team Member of Paper Imagery Designs, Part Two becoming a New Mommy and Part Three.......

 

I will be teaching at the Paper Cowgirl Event in June, 2011 along with some other amazing Teachers.....Pamela Huntington, Ann Denise, Lisa McIlvain, Sandra Feazel and more!!!!

This retreat is awesome and if you are anywhere near Waxahachie, Texas you need to come and take part in the Southern Hospitiality and Creativity that is offered here!!!!  Okay, okay.....it's really close to Dallas so don't worry you aren't out in the middle of nowhere but I can tell you that this quaint town offers so much!!  I can't hardly wait to visit the Haunted Catfish Plantation again (you just can't get good catfish up in Virginia), create some gorgeous art and sit around sipping sweet tea (perhaps Margarita Style).
