Our family is growing again!!!
I have a new cousin, Hunter Patrick, and my Aunt Bonnie, my Daddy's sister, is now a Great Grandmother!!!
Isn't this a wonderful photo?
It's hard to believe that if Daddy were living that he and his sister would have become Great Grandparents the same year just a few months apart.
Elise and Hunter.....two more reasons to give thanks this year.

I love this photograph......so calm and serene and beautiful, just like Brandy's blog.
Brandy openly shares so many things with her readers, posts on her family, her collections, her store and tutorials. Her blog, Make Every Day Magic, is featured in this Winter's issue of Somerset's Artful Blogging and when you stop in to visit you will understand exactly why.
As someone that is attracted to something visually first, Brandy'sblog and her store on Etsy, Brandywine Boutique, were like a scrumptious feast placed before me. How can you resist such colors and images? All both vivid and lively yet bringing a remembrance of of Christmases past.
The magic is reflected not only in her writing, photographs and creativity but even in how her wares are offered to you. Packages dripping in velvet ribbons and waxed seals are like an opening act for the feature presentation.
Her photographs visually draw you in, they tell stories and they get your creative juices flowing. You can see how all of her efforts come together to indeed make every day magic. For herself, her readers and all of those that step through her shop's "doors".
Brandy is also part of a group that put's together creative kits for the holidays, Joli Paquet (pretty kits). You may remember this name from last week's discovery as well since Cerri is also a member of this group.
As you've heard before from me, and as my DH would say, you can tell she has stirred the love throughout these magical spaces.

I was over at Dawn's blog this morning and she gave me a wonderful idea on how to use my Monday's Musings post to possibly help other artists during this season.

I began getting our home ready for the holidays (both Thanksgiving and Christmas) this weekend. I love unwrapping my Santa Claus and vintage ornament collections because there is always something about a particular find that you don't remember from last year and it's like having Christmas before Christmas. Setting up the house is my jump start of all of the ooohs and ahhhhhhhhhhhs that will be coming over the next weeks.
Don't you just love the little birds above? I found them this weekend at Target and I fell in love with the small size of them and the glitter of course. They will adorn a tree in one of our guest bedrooms.
These are two of my vintage ornaments that will go on the same tree as the little brown birds. I love these with the indents and LOVE those colors.....brown and aqua together. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
There is a shop here locally that used to sell candles that made your home smell just like you had real trees throughout. I stopped by there on Saturday too but they don't carry the candles any longer. However, they do sell difusers by the same company and they smell luscious!!! So we will see if it works as well as the candles. Another good thing....no worrying about flames.
My collection of Santas began over 15 years ago and almost each one has a bit of history that goes along with it. I have 2 Santas and a Mrs. Claus that my Daddy made and painted, several that my Mom made and/or painted, a Santa from each year we have gone to Nags Head, one from our Honeymoon trip, etc.

This is a photograph of my Granny and Granpa Edwards. I never met him as he passed away when my Daddy was just a boy but I did know my Granny, I didn't know her as much as I should have and that saddens me but I know for sure are that she loved me and I loved her. Don't you think they are a great looking couple?
This has been an extremely rough week. My voice has been coming and going, mostly going, so now I have total laryngitis and it feels like I am either in the middle of a bout of bronchitis or perhaps at the start of pneumonia. Then yesterday I posted some things I was grateful for on JoAnnA's blog and last night I had horribly frightening dreams about my ex-husband. Not a good space for my head to be in. :(
So for today I hope you will forgive me forgoing the "Trade Days" post and that instead you will look at the prior posts at this link.
I'll post more later if my head gets into the right frame of mind....otherwise dear friends please have a wonderful Friday evening and I will write more tomorrow.

Today's Tried and True is someone I just met through Lollishops!! Priscilla will also be a Lollishops vendor and I know you will love her shop which will be filled with all things vintage!!
The good news is that you don't have to wait until the Lollishops open because it is just right around the corner and Priscilla's website, Sweet Remembrance, is already open.
Doesn't that store header tell you right up front that you are about to enter an amazing site?
Priscilla's store carries all sorts of flea market finds including vintage rhinestones (got to have the bling ya know), buttons, clothes and flower frogs (one of the things that I am always on the look out for to add to my collection).
Priscilla also has these wonderful hang tags created u sing vintage postcard images and the finest glitter.
Speaking of glitter, she has these wonderful old salt shakers that would look fantabulous with some glass glitter encased in them. Don't you think?
